Essay Topics For the Awakening

Essay Topics For the AwakeningIn the process of thinking about essay topics for your graduation year, I thought about a few issues to consider. Some topics are fairly general and may be appropriate for several different subjects in the curriculum, while others are more specific and may need to be tailored to meet the needs of the student. Let's talk about the general categories, and then discuss some of the possible topics for the awakening that is soon to come.In this category, the major things that all students will deal with will be scientific principles, which will involve the laws of nature and science in general, some theories of evolution, naturalism, and the need to be neutral on such matters as whether the universe has been created or is a result of an accident. There will also be other things that will be at issue, but in general there will be a need to have a sense of concern for the environment, animal rights, and ways to reduce the impact on nature. Science is a subject for further study, but is not the only one in this category. In this category, some things that will be important are religion, ethics, politics, and modern society itself. A student will be aware of the need to be educated on these topics, and it will be expected of them to perform research on these areas and write about it. In order to do this, they will need to use a personal pen and paper, as well as other means to make their written efforts count. Some students might do well with a science textbook and reading up on relevant material in their textbooks, while others may need to learn how to synthesize their sources and report on the topics in greater detail. There is an entire bunch of subjects in here that I left out, because I don't know what else to talk about. These include science fiction, fairy tales, the nature of love, metaphysics, and much more. If you are interested in talking to students about topics in these areas, feel free to contact me.The topic I would probably st ick with would be creation, since there is a big thing happening at the moment for many particular students. There will be various bible studies, debates, and religious classes. Students will need to be aware of these things and know how to respond, but that doesn't mean they have to spend all their time working on these issues.Everyone knows that religion is something that is not always to be accepted by all. That said, I don't think there is any harm in reminding students that there are other choices, such as a belief in god, and this is fine. The choice of whether or not to believe in something like god is very personal, and we should be mindful of that. We need to understand what others have decided, but that doesn't mean that you can't express your own views, or support for other beliefs.Ethics is another great challenge in life. This year there will be an election for president, and we will see a lot of highly debated issues concerning ethics. As with religion, I think it is O K to talk about, but do keep in mind that what one believes may not be compatible with the beliefs of others. For example, if you believe that suicide is immoral, then I would hope you wouldn't want to vote for someone who claims to be God's chosen one. These are the topic ideas for this year's awakening. We will continue to add to this list as time goes on, so look for an update in a couple of months. Remember, the sooner you begin to put your ideas down on paper, the sooner you will know whether or not you are going to be able to make this special day.
